Its that time of the month again! Let’s get straight into the beauty faves.
Apparently when it came to beauty this month, I had a bit of a thing for the nude shades. For nails, I recently picked up Essie’s “Lady Like” and “Ballet Slippers“. There’s just something about a nude polish that provides such a fresh and clean look to the nails. I’ve also been loving a couple of M.A.C lip products this month. The “Boldly Bare” lip pencil is the PERFECT peachy nude for my lips. I’ve been really enjoying wearing this on its own, with a little lip balm (M.A.C lip pencils tend to be a little drying at times…) or with M.A.C’s “Patisserie” lustre lipstick overtop if I’m after a bit of shine.
Ever since the start of the new year, I’ve been looking out for new ways to stay active and healthy. I’m not the type of person who enjoys working out. In fact, I am quite the opposite. I’ve recently discovered a few classes at my local gym that I really enjoy. However, they are quite expensive and I can’t afford to go more than a couple of times a week. So, I wanted to find something that I could do at home that would be just as motivating as having an instructor in front of me at the gym.
My sister was doing a little research one day and she came across “Ballet Beautiful“. After trying it once, I knew that this was something I would be able to do on a regular basis. I’ve been doing her classic 60 minute workout and I love it. At first, I wasn’t able to fully complete all the sets but now that I’ve practiced quite a few times, I’m able to do them all! What I love the most about this workout is that it doesn’t require any type of equipment, all you need is your body. The focus of her workouts are about lengthening the limbs and creating long lean muscles which is exactly what I’m after. Give this workout a try, I promise it will burn!
I’ve had quite a few food favorites this month including “Cadbury Mini Eggs“. I don’t have much to say about these besides the fact that I have an addiction…. It’s the only kind of chocolate I ever get really excited about. When Easter rolls around, I just have to get my hands on these.
These next few goodies I’ve been making non stop this month! Tying into my new years resolution of staying active and healthy, I’ve been looking for ways to enjoy sweet treats without the pounds of butter and sugar. I found these oatmeal cookies on a blog called “Amy’s Healthy Baking” and they are delicious! She does so many variations of this one cookie and I’ve tried almost all of them. They only contain really great ingredients so you don’t have to feel bad about eating them and they are so simple to make. You should definitely give these a try!
Another life changing recipe I found is for these greek yogurt blueberry pancakes by “Ambitious Kitchen“. I can promise that this will completely change your pancake making game. These pancakes are only sweetened with a tablespoon of honey and the plain greek yogurt creates such a delicious fluffy texture. You need to try these to understand how amazing they are.
I am not a believer in cutting out everything and anything that is the slightest bit unhealthy. I believe that everything is okay in moderation, however, I do think that if you can find healthier alternatives for some of the ingredients you would normally use, why not make the switch when possible!
Hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for the next post 😉
